Job Purpose :

Supplier Quality: 
Develop, implement and monitor supplier quality assurance systems to ensure that all materials and components meet design standards and regulatory compliances to support seamless production

Bus Body Quality: 
Oversee end to end bus body manufacturing process ensuring bus body design, regulatory compliances, customer safety and satisfaction

Job Description:

• Supplier selection approval – Evaluate and approve new suppliers based on critical business requirement, supplier capability, Supplier past performance
• New part development – Approve new parts PPAP ensuring consistent and reliable process meeting design requirements
• Ensuring incoming parts Quality – I) Monitoring incoming parts quality and addressing non conformities by corrective action ant supplier  ii) Sensitization of supplier senior management ii) Second party audit at suppliers
• Quality Assurance and control – i) Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance systems for parts suppliers and Bus Body builders
• Supplier Performance management – Monitor and measure supplier performance with pre-defined metrics
• Vendor Quality Management – i) Collaboration with Sourcing and Supply chain to establish Quality requirements for suppliers. Ii) Audit and evaluating supplier process iii) Address non- conformities and develop supplier corrective action plan for Chassis, Vehicle build issues and supplier related field issues
• Risk Mitigation – Identify potential risks in supply chain and collaborate with Sourcing and supply chain to implement mitigation strategies
• Monitor and ensuring regulatory compliances – i) Parts COP compliances, ii) Bus body regulations and awareness on regulatory changes iii) Design compliance with safety regulations iv) Whole vehicle safety COP compliances for Buses and LCVs
• Customer satisfaction – i) Collaborate with Engineering, Program and marketing on bus tender and end customer requirements          ii) Respond to customers on feedbacks iii) Focus on delivering defect free busses 
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives – Drive supplier and Bus body builders quality improvement programs 
• Collaboration and communication – Work closely with internal stake holders (Engineering, Sourcing, Operation, sales & marketing, after market
• Team Leadership – Plan, recruit, train and develop the team
• Quality management system – Ensuring QMS compliances for the function
