Switch Mobility brings zero-emission public transportation to Fully Charged OUTSIDE

At the beginning of September, Switch Mobility joined the largest event for electric vehicles and clean technologies in the UK, showcasing a fleet of zero-emission buses as the Official Transport Partner of Fully Charged OUTSIDE. The show welcomed 16,000+ attendees, 150+ exhibitors and 300+ electric vehicles to Farnborough International over three days.

With most car manufacturers releasing their own electric vehicles in recent years, the choice can seem overwhelming. Fully Charged gave attendees an opportunity to see every commercially available car in one location, test drive the EVs on offer and learn more about transitioning to electric.

Whilst electric cars may be important, the switch to zero-emission public transportation is critical. Robert Drewery, Commercial Director of Switch Mobility, was invited to speak at one of the show’s 50 live sessions: ‘Is public transport the silver bullet?’. In this session, he outlined the part that carbon neutral buses and vans will play in cleaning up our cities.

“Today, I’ve been talking about the role of public transport in a green future, and how important the bus and other modes of public transport, particularly zero-emission modes, are to reducing carbon emissions.” Robert Drewery, Commercial Director of Switch Mobility

Switch Mobility displayed their award-winning Metrodecker, Metrocity and their Solo – which formed part of the show’s official Park & Ride fleet. Their stand also featured live graffiti artists, to capture drawings of the guests aboard the buses, and the ‘Switch Junior Hub’, which included a children’s animation to teach the future generation about the importance of clean public transportation.
